The International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART) was established in 2011 with a clear objective to support IIUM\u2019s commitment to advancing the Malaysian government\u2019s vision of positioning the country as a global hub for halal products and services. Since its inception, INHART strives to contribute meaningfully to the development of the halal industry and ecosystem. While INHART grows and evolve, we continue to stand at the intersection of tradition and transformation; upholding the principles of Shari\u2019ah while responding to the evolving needs of the halal industry. Our mission remains anchored in advancing halal as a holistic and value-driven system that transcends mere compliance, shaping ethical economies, sustainable communities, and global trust.<\/span><\/p>

Moving forward in the dynamic and competitive global landscape, INHART is dedicated to excelling in core pursuits of thought leadership, rigorous research, and impactful training. INHART\u2019s commitment to the Tawhidic epistemology – a worldview grounded in divine unity – ensures that our scholarship remains deeply relevant to Muslim societies while engaging global standards and scientific advancements.<\/span><\/p>

The concept of halalan toyyiban<\/em> is not merely a label; it is a comprehensive paradigm; one that reflects purity, safety, transparency, and accountability. It is this ethos that guides every effort we make, from laboratory innovations to policy engagements, from community training to cross-border collaboration.<\/span><\/p>

I am sincerely grateful to our dedicated staff, scholars, students, alumni, industry partners and stakeholders; each of whom plays a vital role in INHART\u2019s journey. Together, we are nurturing a living halal ecosystem; one that is not only regulated, but understood, embodied, and integrated into all dimensions of life: from food to finance, from cosmetics to logistics, from principles to practice.<\/p>
