Visit from the Ministry of Education, Afghanistan

Kuala Lumpur, 15 April 2026 — ISTAC-IIUM had the honour of hosting a delegation from the Ministry of Education, Afghanistan, for a meaningful exchange centred on knowledge-sharing and potential academic opportunities.

Accompanied by YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Azam bin AB Rahman, Special Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Humanitarian and Reconstruction Affairs, and representatives from Dialogue Action (UK), the visit explored a shared commitment to strengthening academic engagement and supporting the development of Afghanistan’s educational landscape.

A reflective roundtable dialogue brought together insights from Dr. Fatimah Alzahrah Alattas and Mr. Wahidullah Hashimi, highlighting the role of Islamic thought in enriching contemporary education and widening academic potential.

InshaAllah, with a shared conviction that education—when rooted in purpose and guided by values—can serve as a bridge between nations and a force for lasting change.
