On January 6, 2025, PLANETIIUM hosted the second workshop of its Animal Research Series, focusing on Rodent Handling & Experimentation Techniques. This one-day intensive workshop aimed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for working with rodents in research. The theory sessions covered key topics such as the basic principles of rodent handling and husbandry, animal restraint and injection techniques, and proper necropsy procedures. These discussions provided a solid foundation for understanding the ethical and scientific considerations involved in animal research.

In addition to the theory, participants engaged in hands-on practical sessions to apply the knowledge gained. These sessions allowed them to practice rodent handling and restraint techniques, learn safe and effective injection methods, and perform necropsies under expert guidance. The event was a success, with attendees demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment to advancing ethical research practices.
