As part of our official visit to Thailand, PLANETIIUM had the honour of engaging with the Thailand One Health University Network – National Coordinating Office (THOHUN-NCO), a key regional partner in advancing integrated approaches to health, environment, and sustainability.
Hosted at the THOHUN-NCO office, the meeting brought together representatives from both organisations to exchange ideas and explore avenues for collaboration in multidisciplinary research and capacity building. The discussions focused on the intersection of health, biodiversity, and climate resilience—core pillars of planetary health that both PLANETIIUM and THOHUN-NCO are deeply committed to advancing.
This engagement is part of PLANETIIUM’s broader mission to build strong, cross-sectoral partnerships across Asia and the Pacific to address complex global challenges through holistic, systems-based approaches. THOHUN-NCO’s leadership in promoting One Health education and fostering university-based networks makes it an ideal collaborator in advancing research, policy development, and community outreach efforts aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to align strategies on joint initiatives such as transdisciplinary education programmes, collaborative research projects, and knowledge-sharing platforms that bridge science, policy, and practice.
We are sincerely grateful to the THOHUN-NCO team for their warm hospitality and openness to collaboration. PLANETIIUM looks forward to building on this foundation and working closely with THOHUN-NCO to co-create innovative solutions for a healthier, more sustainable future.
