On May 28, 2025, PLANETIIUM had the privilege of visiting Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of our ongoing efforts to foster regional collaboration in the field of planetary well-being.
We were graciously received by Professor Dr. Chitlada Areesantichai and faculty members from the College of Public Health Sciences, along with esteemed colleagues from the College of Population Studies and the Sustainable Environment Research Institute (SERI).
Representing the Institute for Planetary Survival and Planetary Well-being at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Lokman and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hanif Bin Jainlabdin engaged in meaningful discussions on advancing interdisciplinary research and regional cooperation.
The visit served as a valuable platform for exchanging insights, identifying common priorities, and exploring future collaboration in areas such as environmental health, population studies, and sustainability science.
This engagement marks an encouraging step toward building a resilient academic network across Southeast Asia—one that is committed to holistic approaches in addressing the interconnected challenges of health, climate, and biodiversity.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Chulalongkorn University for the warm hospitality, insightful conversations, and shared vision. PLANETIIUM looks forward to deepening this partnership in pursuit of a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
