On 11 June 2026, the Institute of Planetary Survival for Sustainable Well-being (PLANETIIUM) was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from the Chairman of the IIUM Audit Committee, accompanied by a distinguished delegation from the Office of the Internal Audit, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak.

The visit served as a valuable platform for meaningful engagement and constructive discussions on various aspects of institutional governance, operational effectiveness, accountability, risk management, and continuous quality improvement. During the session, PLANETIIUM shared its ongoing efforts to strengthen organisational excellence through transparent governance practices, efficient resource management, and strategic planning aligned with the University’s aspirations and objectives.

The delegation was also briefed on the Institute’s strategic direction, key achievements, current research activities, community engagement programmes, and future initiatives aimed at advancing the planetary health agenda and promoting sustainable well-being. Particular emphasis was placed on PLANETIIUM’s multidisciplinary approach in addressing interconnected challenges involving human health, environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and community empowerment.

In addition, the visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange perspectives on best practices, institutional strengthening, and opportunities for enhancing collaboration in support of continuous improvement and long-term organisational sustainability. The insightful feedback and recommendations shared by the delegation were greatly appreciated and will contribute towards further enhancing the Institute’s operational and strategic excellence.
